What we’re looking for 

Central Sterile Supply Tech Collects, decontaminates, stores and distributes all reusable supplies and patient care equipment in the hospital.

 

How you’ll contribute 

A Central Sterile Supply Tech who excels in this role:

 

  • Provide inspection, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instruments and other patient care equipment in accordance with processing guidelines, AAMI, AORN, TJC, and OSHA requirements. 
  • Operate departmental equipment daily according to manufacturer instructions with emphasis on safety. 
  • Provide customer service to all departments with a focus on patient needs.
  • Process and document all sterile supplies and equipment daily using chemical, biological and mechanical indicators to verify sterility in accordance with manufacturer instructions and hospital policy. 
  • Monitor and perform antimicrobial and disinfection solutions testing according to manufacturer instructions and documentation daily. 

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 

  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. 

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

 

Schedule: Full Time: Monday - Thursday 7:30 AM -6:00 PM and on call Friday - Sunday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
