LISW Behavioral Health Therapist
Location: Ottumwa, IA
Schedule: Full-Time

Make a real clinical impact beyond the therapy room, and have an influential voice in our interdisciplinary teams.

We're looking for a Licensed Therapist who wants more than a traditional outpatient role. This position blends direct therapy with hands-on collaboration across home-and community-based services (HCBS), substance use programs (SUD), and behavioral health intervention services (BHIS) by supporting individuals with complex, whole-person behavioral health needs.
If you're someone who enjoys problem-solving, team collaboration, and seeing change happen in everyday life – not just in sessions - then this role offers a unique opportunity to grow and lead.

What You'll Do
  • Provide individual and family therapy, including assessment, diagnosis, and development of clinically appropriate, billable treatment plans.
  • Support individuals with complex behavioral health needs, including mental health and substance use, across programs by collaborating with their interdisciplinary teams to develop and guide practical, trauma-informed behavioral strategies (including behavioral plans) that staff can implement in real time.
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment approaches to support meaningful outcomes.
  • Serve as a clinical resource to staff, offering consultation, education, and support around mental health, substance use, crisis response, and skill-building approaches.
  • Contribute to a culture of person-centered, recovery-oriented care.
Grow as a Clinician & Leader
  • Opportunity to provide clinical supervision to support the development of future therapists (based on licensure).
  • Influence program development and clinical practices across multiple service lines.
  • Be part of a team that values collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
  • Active Iowa Licensure (LISW)
  • Strong clinical judgement and ability to work with individuals with complex needs.
  • Comfort collaborating with teams and supporting staff in applied real-world settings.
Why Join Us
  • Mission-driven organization focused on real, person-centered impact.
  • Variety in your work, no two days will look the same.
  • Collaborative, supportive team environment.
  • Opportunity to shape programs and make a difference across systems of care.
  • Great benefits including: health, dental and vision insurance, sick and vacation time, 12 paid holidays, a retirement plan, and more.
