Pharmacist

Duties: 

• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions.
• Provide clinical pharmacy support to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Monitor medication therapy and recommend adjustments when appropriate.
• Counsel patients and healthcare staff regarding medications, dosage, administration, and potential side effects.
• Participate in medication reconciliation and patient-care planning.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation..

Required Qualifications: 

• Licensed in the State of Iowa as a Registered Pharmacist – required
• Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy – required
• 2–4 years of clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting – required
• Strong knowledge of medication management, pharmacotherapy, and patient safety.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Location: Ottumwa, IA

Compensation: $53.00-$74.00/HR
