This role is divided up into 20 hours of HR Specialist and 20 hours of Purchasing Clerk making it a full-time position. 


Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7am-4:30pm, Friday 7am-11am 


The HR Specialist performs complex clerical tasks and routine Human Resources duties.  Compiles and maintains personnel records. 

Duties/Responsibilities for HR Specialist: 

  • Administer day-to-day HR operations, providing administrative support across all HR related functions.   
  • Maintains accurate and confidential personnel files, HRIS data, and compliance documentation.   
  • Process HR transactions such as status changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations, ensuring timely and accurate updates.  
  • Publishes center staff newsletter.  
  • Understands and follows through with assigned tasks with the highest level of confidentiality in all aspects.
  • Responsible for entering and maintaining employee personnel training records accurately with frequent updates.
  • Helps to maintain all employee personnel files and records, consistently filing to maintain these records.
  • Assists with employee morale in planning staff events.
  •  All other duties assigned.  

The Purchasing Clerk performs data entry and clerical duties related to the purchasing function.

Duties/Responsibilities for Purchasing Clerk:

  • Good working knowledge of administrative procedures, as well as various computer applications and programs.
  • Contacts vendors regarding routine problems related to variances in product orders to products received.
  • Obtain quotes/pricing from vendors.
  • Maintains vendor files, logs, spreadsheets and obtains new vendors.
  • Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports and logs under the direction of the Purchasing Agent.
  • Answers departmental telephones and takes messages.
  • Other job duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum: High school graduate or equivalent. One years’ work-related experience in a complex clerical capacity. 


Preferred: Associates degree.  Two years’ experience in related field.   


Knowledge: Good communication skills, both oral and written. Strong organizational skills. Ability to operate a personal computer. Ability to learn company software systems.
