Hours: The schedule for this position is M-F 12:00pm-9:00pm.


The CNC Programmer contributes to the precision manufacturing of metal dies. This role requires a unique blend of technical programming expertise, artistic visualization skills, and meticulous attention to detail. You will transform complex technical drawings into precise CNC programs while maintaining exceptional quality standards. 


Responsibilities  

• Develop precise cutting paths and CNC programs using advanced CAD/CAM software 

• Program both 3-axis and 4-axis CNC machines for optimal performance 

• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to create accurate machine instructions 

• Select and configure appropriate cutting tools based on material specifications 

• Optimize machine settings to balance production efficiency with quality requirements 

• Maintain extremely tight tolerances on all programmed components 

• Perform thorough quality assurance testing throughout the programming process 

Requirements

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical drawings and blueprints 

• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining principles 

• CAD software experience beneficial 

• Ability to visualize 3D geometries and cutting strategies 

• Drawing skills or artistic background required for spatial visualization 

• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to precision 

• Strong organizational and time management abilities 

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills 

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills 

• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment 

• Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset 


Education and Experience: 

• 2-5 years’ experience in programming 3 axis and 4 axis CNC machines required 


Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 

• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
