INTERN

SUMMARY

This position is a temporary or seasonal position responsible for providing support in any variety of departments. This role offers exposure to the operations of the Bank, opportunities to learn about financial products and services, and a chance to develop professional skills. Work is performed within the framework of standard operating policies and procedures. Deviations from normal procedures and/or questions are referred to the supervisor.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for supporting various departments with assigned tasks and/or projects.

 

Tasks can include collecting and analyzing financial data, assisting with account management, preparing presentations and reports, conducting market research, and helping process transactions.

 

Will shadow experienced professionals, participate in meetings, and contribute to ongoing projects.

 

Comply with all banking regulations, policies and procedures.

 

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Maintain education and professional expertise through attendance at job related seminars, conferences, and workshops.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Graduation from high school or possess a GED certification. Plus, additional post high school education and/or training.    

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Operate office and bank equipment (e.g., personal computer and printer, 10-key calculator, telephone, fax machine, copier). Basic PC knowledge, including Microsoft applications.

Has contact with various bank departments.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid driver's license.
