The IT help desk intern will focus on basic user support to include diagnosing and resolving hardware and software related issues and managing user and workstation setups and training. This position also includes administration of servers and network infrastructure as well as project related IT initiatives.
In addition to the technical side of this position, the IT intern will build a rapport with the end user by exercising strong customer care and communication skills.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (additional duties may be assigned)
- Troubleshooting & Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems related to hardware, software, and networks.
- System Maintenance: Installing, configuring, upgrading, and patching operating systems, applications, and peripheral devices.
- User Support & Training: Acting as the primary contact for user issues, providing guidance, and training on new technologies.
- Documentation & Analysis: Tracking user requests in help desk systems, documenting solutions, and analyzing trends to prevent recurring issues.
- Security & Data Integrity: Implementing security measures, maintaining data integrity, and managing access.
- Vendor Coordination: Assisting with vendor support and coordinating hardware/software purchases.

- Entry level position with 1-2 years of experience and or related training.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong inter-personal skills
- Desire to take initiative
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows server and Suite.
- Mac OS and iOS experience
- Active Directory, Azure, Entra management
- Basic network understanding
