Lead Teacher

What You'll Do

As a Lead Teacher, you'll create a classroom where children feel safe, loved, and excited to learn every day.

Your responsibilities include:

  •  Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences using our Wonder of Learning® curriculum 
  •  Create a warm, organized, and welcoming classroom environment 
  •  Build meaningful relationships with children and their families 
  •  Observe and document children's growth and development 
  •  Guide children's social-emotional development using positive behavior strategies 
  •  Partner with Assistant Teachers to create a successful classroom team 
  •  Maintain licensing, health, and safety standards throughout the day

Qualifications

  •  High school diploma required 
  •  CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred 
  •  1-2 years of experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool preferred 
  •  State-required pre-service training completed (or willingness to complete upon hire) 
  •  Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as part of caring for young children
