AT-RISK International is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Training Specialist to聽assist in聽leading聽the development, coordination, and delivery of security training programs.聽This position plays a pivotal role in enhancing the professionalism, safety, and readiness of over 110 security personnel operating across聽four聽time zones. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on expertise in聽tactical聽firearms,聽active shooter,聽defensive tactics, and de-escalation instruction with comprehensive program oversight and administrative management, ensuring consistent compliance and operational excellence.聽

Key Responsibilities聽
Training Development, Scheduling, and Delivery聽
- Assist in the design,聽development,聽revision, and implementation of training curricula, lesson plans, instructor guides,聽and聽other聽materials aligned with regulatory requirements and operational needs.聽
- Schedule and coordinate training sessions across multiple sites and time zones, managing attendance and ensuring timely completion.聽
- Maintain annual training calendars and coordinate instructor availability, facilities, range scheduling, equipment, and logistics.聽
- Deliver in-person and remote training, including firearms proficiency, defensive tactics, verbal de-escalation, and report writing.聽
- Support certification and recertification processes to maintain compliance with contractual, state, and federal standards.聽
- Conduct practical exercises, scenario-based training, tabletop exercises, and performance evaluations to reinforce learning objectives.聽
Standardization and Records Management聽
- Assist in maintaining聽standardization and centralization of training documentation, licenses, certifications, schedules, and reports.聽
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for 110+ security and weapons licenses, 26 state licenses, internal and external certifications, weekly schedules, and monthly reports.聽
- Develop and enforce document templates, style guides, and version control protocols to ensure consistency and accessibility.聽
- Ensure training records remain audit-ready and compliant with client requirements, regulatory agencies, and internal quality assurance standards.聽
- Book travel and adhere to budget conscious spending.聽聽
- Track training expenditures and resource utilization to ensure all activities are completed within approved budget allocations while maintaining program quality and compliance.聽

Operational Oversight and Program Management聽
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through聽ad-hoc聽site audits.聽
- Conduct regular compliance audits and ensure all training and administrative processes meet contractual and regulatory requirements.聽
- Serve as a liaison between聽program management聽and site security teams to maintain alignment and readiness.聽
- Identify operational training gaps and recommend corrective actions to improve overall program performance.聽
聽
Support for Mobilizations and Special Projects聽
- Provide on-site support during new site mobilizations, contract transitions, and regional training events.聽
- Travel up to聽40% to ensure continuity and operational support across client sites.聽
聽
Qualifications聽
- Minimum 10 years of experience in security operations, law enforcement, military, or related fields.聽
- Certified firearms, defensive tactics, and/or de-escalation instructor (e.g., POST, NRA Law Enforcement, PPCT).聽
- Proven experience managing multi-site training programs and coordinating schedules across time zones.聽

- Valid driver鈥檚 license and ability to pass background and drug screenings.聽

Preferred Qualifications聽
- Experience supporting enterprise-level corporate security programs.聽
- Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, or related field.聽
- Familiarity with private security contracts, government, and military standards.聽
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and online training platforms.聽
- Familiarity with state licensing requirements for armed security personnel across multiple jurisdictions.聽
