Position Responsibilities: 

  • The Receiving Operations Supervisor leads and supports a team of inventory planners while managing Distribution Center responsibilities such as inbound freight, inventory levels, forecasting, and promotional planning, with a focus on meeting department goals and implementing improvements

  • Collaborate with Management in Centralized Purchasing on strategy creation and execution, and work with team leaders across the department to standardize protocols, develop training programs, and support ongoing projects

  • Identify and address product code date concerns, monitor overstocks, collaborate with distributors to resolve inventory issues, arrange contingency shipments, and ensure accurate system maintenance for ordering parameters

  • The Receiving Operations Supervisor develops a thorough understanding of promotional and seasonal sales patterns to calculate and implement sales lifts, ensuring smooth integration of new or changed items into regular purchase planning

  • The Receiving Operations Supervisor manages product flow with distribution centers by analyzing historical data to determine optimal order multiples with suppliers

  • Other duties as assigned 

Required Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3 plus years of related experience and 0 to 1 plus years of supervisory experience or High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 6 plus years of specific experience and 1 to 2 plus years of supervisory experience
