Position Summary 

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Equipment Maintenance Technician to support our lawn care, landscaping, and snow removal operations. This position focuses primarily on preventative maintenance, equipment cleanliness, inspections, blade sharpening, and documentation to help ensure our fleet remains safe, reliable, and ready for daily operations. 
 
The ideal candidate enjoys working with equipment, takes pride in keeping machines in excellent condition, and can identify and communicate maintenance needs. While mechanical experience is helpful, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and interest in learning. 


Key Responsibilities 

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on lawn care, landscaping, and snow removal equipment. 
  • Sharpen, replace, and maintain mower blades to ensure quality performance. 
  • Clean and maintain company equipment, vehicles, trailers, and attachments to company standards. 
  • Check and maintain fluid levels, tire pressure, batteries, belts, filters, and lubrication points. 
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify wear, damage, or safety concerns. 
  • Document equipment condition, damages, maintenance performed, and repair needs. 
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and preventative maintenance schedules. 
  • Assist with seasonal equipment preparation, including spring startup and winterization activities. 
  • Monitor equipment for operational readiness and communicate concerns to management. 
  • Organize and maintain shop areas, parts inventory, and maintenance supplies. 
  • Assist in coordinating outside repairs when necessary. 
  • Support a culture of equipment accountability and asset care throughout the organization. 


Preferred Qualifications 

  • Interest in equipment, machinery, and preventative maintenance. 
  • Ability to learn maintenance procedures and follow established processes. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities. 
  • Mechanical experience or training preferred; training provided for the right candidate who enjoys working with equipment and takes pride in keeping machinery operating at its best.
