Wendell Foster is interested in hiring an energetic CMA for our Intermediate Care Facility to join the team of #DifferenceMakers!

What matters to you:

What matters to us:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Certified Medication Aide in the State of Kentucky required.
  • Possess, or be able to possess, required first aid and CPR certifications (training provided).
  • Possess valid driver’s license, insurable driving record, and ability to drive facility vehicles.

Essential Functions:

1. Safely and accurately administers and distributes routine prescribed medications.

2. Confirms identity and checks each individual’s allergy history prior to administering medications. Recognizes possible untoward allergic reactions and notifies the supervising nurse or medical provider.

3. Documents administration of medications on the individual’s medication administration record (MAR).

4. Reviews and processes prescribed medication orders and transmits electronically to contract pharmacy.

5. Serves as liaison between medical providers/nurses and the contract pharmacy regarding issues associated with medication process.
