Position Overview & Mission

As our Licensed HVAC Service Specialist, you will be the premier technical expert diagnosing, inspecting, and optimizing climate control equipment across both residential and commercial properties. You will ensure system safety and efficiency while acting as a trusted advisor to our clients—delivering extraordinary, 5-star customer service to guide property owners toward confident, informed buying and repair decisions.

Essential Field Responsibilities

  • Meet directly with residential and commercial clients to thoroughly evaluate their heating and cooling needs.

  • Troubleshoot complex HVAC equipment issues and present clear, highly beneficial repair or maintenance options.

  • Uphold strict company standards for routine system tune-ups and preventative maintenance.

  • Execute sold repairs cleanly and professionally, using drop cloths and protective measures to keep properties completely undamaged and immaculate.

  • Log field data, collect client payments, and manage truck inventory via company-provided tablets.

Required Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Licensing: Must hold a valid, active Kentucky State HVAC License (Journeyman or Master).

  • Technical Aptitude: Proficient in mechanical troubleshooting, component replacement, and making low-voltage electrical connections on furnaces, AC condensers, and air handlers.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills with a natural ability to break down technical HVAC concepts clearly for homeowners and property managers.

  • Compliance: High school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and legal authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

  • Preferred but not required: Active EPA Universal or NATE certifications.

Physical Demands & Environment

  • Capability to safely lift, move, and maneuver field equipment weighing up to 100 lbs repeatedly.

  • Comfort operating in tight, dark, or restricted environments such as attics, basements, and crawl spaces.

  • Ability to ascend/descend ladders and step stools safely throughout the workday.

  • Resilience to work in variable seasonal indoor and outdoor temperatures.

  • Daily local travel (up to 75% of the time) to navigate between client dispatch locations.
