This position is responsible for the processing of mortgage releases/satisfactions, performing mortgage modifications, recasts, balloons, ARMs, SCRA processes, document recording, and deceased borrower notifications. This role will also be responsible for working with document custodians and tracking collateral documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain position procedures.
  • Daily:
    • PIF Tracking
    • Image PIF files to vendor by 11:00 AM
  • Process daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Research Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, and FHLB regulations by regularly utilizing their servicing guides.
  • Update modification documents as regulations change.
  • Process loan modifications, assumptions, and recast requests and verify modification keying in MSP.
  • Order modified title policies through the vendor as required.
  • Process satisfactions through the vendor for all Mortgage Servicing loans paid-in-full.
  • Work with legal department compulsory legal processes.
  • Record documents in Simplifile E-Recording system or directly with county recorders.
  • Update MSP and take record of Promissory Notes when received from doc custodians.
  • Review and follow up on US Bank, Bank of New York Mellon, NTC, and Simplifile notifications.
  • Serve as a resource to the Manager and research processes and procedures to find efficiencies within the system.
  • This position is required to maintain a working knowledge of all Bell Bank, State, Federal and investor guidelines in order to ensure compliance with rules and regulations.

Education, Experience, and Other Expectations

  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 2-4 years of experience in mortgage/loan lending, mortgage/loan servicing, title work, real estate, or legal work.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Good working knowledge of federal, state, and investor rules, regulations and policies relating to mortgage loans or strong desire and ability to research.
  • Proactive, efficient, detail-oriented, goal-oriented, resourceful, analytical, adaptable, organized, and have excellent problem-solving and math skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, consistently meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Good communication skills to interact with other departments, lenders, borrowers, Mortgage Servicing staff, management and service providers.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt well to change.
