Job DetailsJob Location: Owensboro, KY 42301Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High School/GEDSalary Range: $13.25 - $16.00 HourlyTravel Percentage: OccasionalJob Shift: 2ndJob Summary: (2nd Shift 4:00pm-12:00am) A Recovery Specialist provides basic supervision and assistance to clients of a residential substance abuse program.  The Certified Adult Peer Support Specialist (APSS) provide assistance to clients of a substance abuse program using their unique lived experiences to guide and support others in some form of recovery.     Essential Functions:  Supervises clients during shift. This includes bed checks, meal supervision, taking vitals, observing self-administration of meds, and supervising passes and visitors. Provides assistance to office support staff by copying forms, filing, and recombining charts that are ready for termination as necessary. Leads “pass” process group on Sunday or other support type groups and documents on each client. Facilitates community building exercises and orientation groups. Handles the logistics of patient arrival and departure. Manages follow up appointments. Transports clients to and from CFC, recreational outings and doctor appointments. Monitors and documents client behaviors. Attends and helps document Family Educational groups. Fosters collaborative working relationships among members of the leadership and management teams and programs. Other duties as assigned.   QualificationsEducation and Experience:  High school diploma or GED Must possess valid driver’s license   Knowledge and Skills:  -SCM: No                             -Valid Driver’s License: Yes                          -CPR/ First Aid: Yes
