We are seeking junior to mid-level Associate Attorneys to join our client's team in fighting for justice for survivors of sexual abuse.
Our client is a highly regarded full-service law firm with over 40 years of experience advocating for survivors of catastrophic and traumatic events. Its nationally recognized attorneys are dedicated to delivering exceptional results through diligent, strategic, and compassionate representation. They have achieved successful resolutions in some of the most challenging fields in the industry, including pharmaceutical drug and medical device mass tort product liability litigations, 9/11 World Trade Center and Sexual Abuse cases including BSA and Child Victims Act claims. Â
The ideal Litigation Associate will be responsible for all aspects of litigation, including but not limited to: drafting complaints, responding to written discovery, conducting depositions, and eventually, trial.
The Litigation Associate will also have the opportunity to independently carry a caseload to develop their own area of expertise. Growth and opportunity for advancement within the office is expected.
Requirements
Experience/Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience practicing civil litigation as a licensed attorney required
- Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive and confidential matters, including cases involving abuse, sexual misconduct, violent crimes, and other traumatic experiences, with professionalism, discretion, and empathy
- Experience representing plaintiffs in personal injury matters preferred; candidates with relevant liability litigation experience (e.g., insurance defense) will also be considered
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the Maryland State Bar (in good standing)
