Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer with strong expertise in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming and inspection. This role will be responsible for ensuring product quality, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting manufacturing and engineering teams with advanced metrology and quality assurance practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead quality assurance activities throughout the product lifecycle, from design through production and post-delivery support
  • Interpret and apply GD&T principles to engineering drawings, ensuring compliance with design intent and manufacturability
  • Program, operate, and troubleshoot CMM equipment (e.g., Zeiss, Mitutoyo, Hexagon) for precision inspection and validation
  • Develop and implement inspection plans, control plans, and quality procedures
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) using tools such as 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Whys; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supplier quality teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes
  • Analyze inspection data and generate detailed reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with quality standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior quality engineers and inspectors
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
  • Support supplier qualification, audits, and performance monitoring
