About the Role:
A Place At Home Towson is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our growing team in Glyndon, MD! This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals who need support in the comfort of their own homes. Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene support
- Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure safety
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and tidying living spaces
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
- Assist with medication reminders and monitor client health and well-being
- Transport clients to appointments, errands, or social activities as needed
- Document and communicate any changes in client condition to supervisors
Requirements:
- Prior caregiving, home health aide (HHA), or certified nursing assistant (CNA) experience preferred
- Genuine compassion and patience when working with elderly or disabled individuals
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and a dependable, professional attitude
- Ability to perform light physical tasks including lifting and assisting with transfers
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
