Location: School-Based Program Site - Midland Elementary School, Oxford Junction, IA


Reports To: Head Coach/Site Leadership 


Schedule: Part-Time (Before & After School Programs, School Breaks, and Summer Programs) 

Monday-Friday: 6AM-7:45AM and 3:15PM-6PM


We are looking for candidates who are available to work all five days of the week for one or both shifts. If candidates are unavailable to work all five days, substitute positions may be available. We cannot accommodate partial shifts.


Pay: $19-21/hour, Based on experience and region 


Position Overview 

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children? As a Resilience Coach, you will help create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where students can build confidence, develop life skills, and thrive. 

This is an active, hands-on role that combines mentorship, enrichment, recreation, and academic support. We are looking for positive, energetic team members who enjoy working with school-age children and creating meaningful connections every day. 


Key Responsibilities 


Student Engagement & Support 

  • Build positive relationships with students and create a welcoming environment. 
  • Serve as a role model by promoting respect, responsibility, and resilience. 
  • Support students through positive behavior guidance and conflict resolution. 
  • Ensure student safety and well-being at all times. 

Program Delivery 

  • Lead engaging enrichment, recreation, and team-building activities. 
  • Facilitate homework help and academic support sessions. 
  • Participate in games, fitness activities, and outdoor play. 
  • Help students develop social-emotional and leadership skills. 

Program Operations 

  • Assist with daily program setup and cleanup. 
  • Support student check-in, attendance, and dismissal procedures. 
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and positive learning environment. 
  • Follow all company policies, licensing requirements, and safety procedures. 

Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Experience working with children in schools, childcare programs, camps, recreation programs, or youth organizations preferred. 
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. 
  • Positive attitude, patience, and a genuine passion for youth development. 
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred. 

State Requirements:

All candidates must be at least 18 years old or older and have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Has certification in Pediatric CPR and First Aid and Mandatory Child Abuse Reporter training
  • Has acheived a total of 75 points through a combination of experience, education which includes at least a year of child-development related experience

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to actively participate in indoor and outdoor activities. 
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout program hours. 
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.
