Job Description Summary

The Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing electrical systems and equipment that support manufacturing operations. This role ensures production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of automated and industrial machinery. The Electrician diagnoses electrical and control system issues, interprets technical documentation, and utilizes PLC troubleshooting skills to restore equipment to optimal performance. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork while complying with all company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

Job Description:

Electrician

As an Electrician, you will support production by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of manufacturing equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment, including but not limited to robots, CNC lathes, mills, conveyors, induction heating systems, and forging presses.
  • Analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot electrical and control system issues using PLC troubleshooting techniques and effective repair methods.
  • Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, equipment specifications, and technical documentation to complete repairs and installations.
  • Conduct preventive, predictive, and routine maintenance inspections to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Safely operate and utilize electrical tools and testing equipment, including hand tools, conduit benders, megger insulation testers, and voltage/amperage measuring devices.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following established procedures and company standards.
  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as all MIOSHA and Dauch safety policies and procedures.

Compensation:
The starting wage for this position is $38.23 per hour, plus a shift premium for off-shift assignments:

  • 2nd Shift: +$0.75 per hour
  • 3rd Shift: +$0.75 per hour

Required Skills and Education

  • Experience with relay logic, motors, motor starters and control circuits for AC & DC Motors.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team or independently with little supervision.
  • Shift flexibility is essential. Preferred

Preferred:

  • PLC experience with Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley and GE Fanuc
  • Journeyman's Card (Electrician)
