At Doncasters we have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team in Oxford, AL.

The hours for this role are a mix of 1st and 2nd shift.

The Role

• Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for designated product mix, developing a skilled and motivated workforce to support achievement of objectives.
• Responsible for the safe manufacture of products, safety in the areas of responsibility, and maintaining a safe, injury free work environment. Ensures compliance with legal requirements and company safety policies.
• Responsible for adherence to process control procedures, operating instructions, and all quality control instructions.
• Works with employees to resolve work place issues, gives necessary feedback on employee performance. Conducts formal performance appraisals and recommends/approves pay increases, transfers and promotions in accordance with company policy and procedures and state and federal laws.
• Develops, trains, and involves employees in maintaining and improving departmental efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, cooperation and morale while maintaining adequate staffing to meet required production schedules.

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree Engineering, Science or Manufacturing Technology or 5 or more years of experience, and at least 1 year managing a group in lieu of degree.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced PC skills and knowledge of ERP Systems.
• Two to five years’ experience in related production operations with good ability to facilitate team problem solving and communicate both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of investment casting technology, processes and manufacturing methods, based upon 5 years’ experience in the engineering, manufacture and/or application of investment castings.
• Knowledge of investment casting process and manufacturing methods, techniques, and equipment
• Proven ability to deliver on time in full, influencing other departments to support achievement of objectives
• Experience with world class manufacturing process, and methods, Lean, Kaizen, 6s, TMP (talent management program), and other advance manufacturing methodologies, tools and concepts

Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of investment casting technology, processes and manufacturing methods, based upon 5 years minimum experience in the engineering, manufacture and/or application of investment castings.
Proven ability to lead, build and develop teams that consist of skilled roles
Proven ability to deliver on time in full, influencing other departments to support achievement of objectives
Experience with world class manufacturing process, and methods, Lean, Kaizen, 6s, TMP (talent management program), and other advance manufacturing methodologies, tools and concepts
Experience at leading production personnel staffing, reviews and goal settings
