The Senior Technician is responsible for maintaining the reliability, performance, and uptime of production and test equipment in a manufacturing environment.

  • This role independently diagnoses and resolves complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues, performs root cause analysis, and implements corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
  • Supports equipment upgrades, process improvements, preventive maintenance activities, and engineering initiatives while conducting advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and calibrations.
  • The role also serves as a technical resource to the maintenance team by sharing knowledge, mentoring less experienced technicians.
  • Coordinating vendor support when needed, and ensuring accurate maintenance documentation.
  • This position plays a critical role in supporting safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations.

 

 

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Independently troubleshoot and repair complex production and test systems.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct equipment calibration and advanced diagnostics to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Support engineering teams with process improvements and equipment upgrades.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all maintenance activities, repairs, and calibrations.
  • Mentor and train junior technicians (Levels I and II) on best practices and advanced techniques.
  • Order replacement parts and supplies as needed.
  • Coordinate sending equipment or components out for external repair.
  • Contact vendors for technical support, parts availability, and repair assistance.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and control system issues without supervision.
  • Perform in-depth root-cause analysis for recurring or critical failures.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with engineering to design solutions for equipment reliability and performance improvements.
  • Works independently with minimal supervision; expected to manage own priorities and schedule.
  • Authorized to make decisions on repairs, adjustments, and process improvements within established guidelines.
  • Provides technical leadership and guidance to lower-level technicians.
