Wages

Starting wage will depend on experience and education. $38.91 - $45.00

 

Responsibilities

Position: Forklift MechanicLocation: Oxnard, CA Pay Rate: $37.79 – $45.00 per hour (based on experience and education)

 

Primary Responsibilities for Forklift TechnicianPerform preventative maintenance and repairs on forklifts and material handling equipment Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Disassemble, overhaul, and reassemble engines, transmissions, differentials, and other components Service equipment ranging from minor adjustments to major repairs Work on CAT, Mitsubishi, Jungheinrich, Manitou, Kalmar, Harlo, Genie, and other allied equipment Complete work orders, safety inspections, and timekeeping documentation accurately Maintain company tools and equipment to safety and cleanliness standards Use diagnostic tools, welding equipment, hoists, and other shop tools as required Maintain a clean and organized work environment Provide excellent communication and customer service Work overtime as needed

RequirementsExperience working on forklifts, heavy equipment, or related machinery Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills Must own and maintain tools of the trade Ability to work independently and in a team environment Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanshipOne-year certificate or associate’s degree from a community college or technical school preferred Five plus years of heavy equipment experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Qualifications

One-year certificate or Associates degree from a community college or technical school; Minimum five plus year's of Cat dealer experience and ten year's heavy equipment industry experience or equivalent education and experience.
