We support a wide range of industrial applications, from advanced treatment systems to large-scale operations, your work will help keep critical processes running smoothly. What You’ll Do • Program, test, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC- and HMI-based control systems • Work with platforms such as: RSLogix500 / RSLogix5000 / Studio 5000 FactoryTalk View (ME & SE) Connected Components Workbench (or equivalent platforms like Siemens/Schneider/GE) • Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits (relays, contactors, overloads, 24VDC–480VAC) • Integrate and configure instrumentation including 0–10V, 4–20mA, resistive signals, Modbus RTU, and BACnet • Configure industrial networking (IP addresses, gateways, subnetting, Ethernet devices) • Set up, tune, and troubleshoot VFDs (Danfoss, ABB, PowerFlex, etc.) • Perform I/O checkout, functional testing, and system commissioning • Troubleshoot pumps, valves, HVAC/hydronic controls, and process equipment • Install conduit/sealtight, route control wiring, and penetrate enclosures • Interpret and work from P&IDs, electrical schematics, and panel layouts • Assist with control panel design using AutoCAD • Provide onsite and remote technical support—including occasional after-hours support • Complete service reports, commissioning documentation, and project records • Train customers and operators on system functionality • Participate in site walks and collaborate with engineering and sales to define controls needs • Research equipment, verify functionality, and source replacement components • Maintain compliance with safety procedures and company standards Why You’ll Love Working Here • A chance to work with advanced automation and industrial water treatment controls • A company culture built on integrity, innovation, and people-first values • Hands-on, meaningful work where your expertise directly impacts system performance • Opportunities for professional growth through training and certifications • A supportive team environment that values collaboration, respect, and technical excellence What You Bring • 1+ year of experience in instrumentation, electrical maintenance, or controls-related work • Strong PLC/HMI troubleshooting skills with a desire to learn new platforms • Solid understanding of electrical principles, control circuits, VFDs, and MCCs • Ability to read and apply P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation • Competence with hand tools, power tools, and minor mechanical tasks • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively • Clear communication skills (written and verbal) • A professional, customer-focused attitude with a commitment to problem-solving • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record • Relevant technical training or certifications are a plus Your Work Environment • This is a field-oriented role, expect work in industrial, mechanical, and electrical environments • Travel required, mostly local to Puretec branches (CA, AZ, TX), with occasional overnight trips • Active work: standing, climbing, lifting up to 25 lbs, wiring, troubleshooting, and using tools daily Ready to Join the Puretec Team?
