The Opportunity
We’re looking for a mid-to-senior level Mechanical Engineer / Designer to play a key role in new product development (NPD) for our industry-leading hardware. This is a hands-on role where you’ll take concepts from idea to production, working on high-performance components used by musicians around the world.

What You’ll Do
- Design and develop production-ready 3D models and drawings in SolidWorksÂ
- Lead mechanical design for cast, injection-molded, and CNC-machined componentsÂ
- Apply strong Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles (draft angles, tolerances, parting lines, assembly logic)Â
- Improve and refine existing components for manufacturability and performanceÂ
- Support prototyping, testing, and fit validationÂ
- Prepare detailed engineering documentation and release packagesÂ
- Collaborate closely with engineering leadership and cross-functional teamsÂ
- Participate in (and eventually lead) vendor-facing DFM discussionsÂ
- Mentor and support junior designers and engineers

Requirements
What You Bring
- 5+ years of mechanical design experienceÂ
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks (power user level)Â
- Strong experience with:Â
- CastingsÂ
- Injection moldingÂ
- CNC machiningÂ
- Ability to design to tight tolerances (±0.002”)Â
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and constraintsÂ
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in fast iteration cyclesÂ
- Strong communication and collaboration skillsÂ

- CNC programming or CAM experienceÂ
- 3D printing / rapid prototyping experienceÂ
- Background in mechanisms or consumer product designÂ
- Passion for music or musical instruments

Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods of timeÂ
- Frequent use of hands for computer work, including typing, mouse usage, and handling small componentsÂ
- Occasional lifting and moving of materials or equipment up to 50 poundsÂ
- Ability to inspect and handle mechanical parts, prototypes, and assembliesÂ
- May require bending, reaching, or standing during prototyping, testing, or shop-floor collaborationÂ
- Ability to travel between office and production areas as neededÂ
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
