Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Registered Clinical Nurse in the Surgical Services Floating Staff Pool, you will be a vital contributor to safe and effective patient care during the perioperative journey, flexibly supporting various surgical units to ensure seamless operations and optimal patient outcomes.Every day you will provide skilled nursing care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs within diverse surgical settings, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases. You will be expected to rapidly adapt to different unit protocols and patient populations, collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team, and ensure adherence to best practices and patient safety standards.To be successful in this role, you must possess strong perioperative nursing skills, exceptional adaptability and critical thinking, and a steadfast commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across surgical specialties.

 

Job Requirements

Required

  • Registered Nurse with three years acute care specialty experience
  • Six months of PACU experience
  • Registered Nurse: CA - RN
  • Basic Life Support - BLS
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support - PALS

Preferred:

  • Additional six (6) months GI experience and
  • Spanish speaking experience
