Job Description

As a Security Officer in Oxnard, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail and mall location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. Pay Rate: $19.76 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or retail staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
