Job Summary:
Perform a variety of tasks relating to production operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. You will work from diagrams and drawings, make initial layouts, and use hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Performs continuity checks on work in process and completed work. You may conduct quality inspections on the processing line in accordance with quality specifications, which could require you to disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
Job Responsibility:
- Performing a wide variety of electrical/mechanical product assembly operations on components, assemblies, or sub-assemblies.
- Preparing assembly work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions and following blueprint specifications
- Populating PCBs from Work Instructions and Assembly Drawings / Bills of Material
- Assembling components by positioning parts and sub-assemblies, examining connections for correct fit, and fastening parts and sub-assemblies.
- Performing two or three of the following job duties; Board Mount; Solder SMT components on PCB's
- Cleaning PCBs and assemblies throughout the process and after completion
- Must continuously meet/exceed production schedules and deadlines according to quality standards
- Maintaining logs, paperwork, and forms accurately, consistent with company policy and practices
Required Qualification:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Mechanical Assembly of electronic components
- Able to communicate and understand English both written and orally
- Basic arithmetic skills
- Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures
- Experience in reading simple assembly drawings
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office and Teams or other communication platforms.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualification:
- Knowledge and experience in two or more of the following areas is required: board mount, die attach, wire bond, soldering, or basic mechanical assembly
- Other Microelectronic Certificates such as IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001
- Ability to multitask
