Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Welder / Fabricators for projects located in or around Oxnard, CA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $30-$40/hour based on experience and skill level.  If you are a Welder and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:    

• Fabricate and assemble mission-critical equipment for naval and defense applications
• Perform MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
• Align and fit components using jigs, fixtures, clamps, and fabrication tools
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Build structures to precise defense manufacturing specifications
• Monitor weld quality and ensure compliance with strict quality standards
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Assist team members across production areas as needed
• Operate shop equipment including forklifts and scissor lifts when required

Requirements:

• Must have at least 3 years of fabrication and welding experience (1–2 years of intensive, high-quality experience may be considered if technical testing is passed)
• Must be proficient in MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding
• Must be able to weld in horizontal and vertical positions on a variety of materials
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
• Must pass a 1G Flat and 3G Vertical-Up weld test for both GMAW and GTAW
• Must be a U.S. Person for ITAR compliance
• Must possess a valid California driver's license, clean driving record, and personal auto insurance
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to work overtime and weekends as required
• Must be able to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in confined or restricted welding positions

Preferred Requirements:

• AWS D1.1 Steel Certification
• AWS D1.2 Aluminum Certification
• Experience operating forklifts and scissor lifts
• Previous defense, aerospace, or high-specification manufacturing experience
