The ideal candidate has an associate's degree from a certified school and previous experience as a Dental Assistant. ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable
- Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have
- Take vital signs and accurately record medical history
- Prep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and procedures
- Assist the dentist during procedures and exams
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
- Schedule appointments
- Take digital x-rays
- Take impressions
- Make temporaries
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a chairside dental assistant
- Previous experience taking digital dental x-rays
- Live on Long Island
