About This Role

Mastercraft Electric, Inc. is looking to bring on a responsible and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our growing Low Voltage Team.

The Project Engineer will primarily support the Low Voltage Team by providing administrative assistance. Responsibilities include job setup, invoicing/billing, permitting, inspections, reporting, document organization, and additional tasks as needed. The Project Engineer must be comfortable communicating with our project management team, field crews, general contractors, and subcontractors/suppliers.



What We Are Looking For

  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks/priorities simultaneously
  • Team-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu and Accubid estimating software (Preferred)
  • Degree in Construction Management or similar (Preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience supporting electrical construction projects as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or similar (Preferred)
  • Basic understanding of low voltage systems and electrical construction (Preferred)



What You Will Do

  • Support the successful execution of commercial low voltage electrical projects from preconstruction to closeout
  • Coordinate project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and closeout packages, while maintaining accurate project records
  • Review project drawings and specifications to identify issues, resolve conflicts, and support field operations
  • Partner with project managers, superintendents, foremen, clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and seamless project coordination
  • Support monthly reporting and billing backup documentation
  • Manage material procurement and equipment tracking to support project schedules and field productivity
  • Monitor project costs, labor, and schedules; providing updates and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and control expenses
  • Assist with estimating, takeoffs, and pricing for change orders and future project opportunities
  • Attend meetings, prepare notes, and track follow-up items consistently
