In this role, you'll help ensure each patient leaves with a positive experience by providing efficient check-out services while delivering exceptional customer care. Essential Responsibilities Welcome patients with professionalism and compassion during the check-out process. Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate referrals as needed. Verify patient demographics and insurance information. Collect balances and other patient payments while accurately processing transactions. Provide patients with visit summaries, work status notes, instructions, and any necessary documentation. Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions or direct them to the appropriate team member. Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Protect patient privacy by maintaining HIPAA compliance at all times. Communicate effectively with providers, medical assistants, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care. Assist with scanning, filing, and other clerical duties as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
