Headquartered in Paducah, Kentucky and founded in 1978, Marquette is a leading provider of inland marine transportation services. Our Company operates over 130 towboats on the Mississippi River System, Gulf-Intracoastal Waterway, and near-shore coastwise market. In addition, the Company controls over 1,000 dry cargo barges. Principal Responsibilities:
- Performing maintenance and repairs to various engines aboard vessels.
- Troubleshoot and replace pumps, compressors, and other mechanical systems.
- Assist the Port Engineer/Project Manager on repairs to vessels on dry dock.
- Extensive travel in company provided work truck.
- Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including PPE.Â
- Visit vessels in operation for repair and preventive maintenance planning.
- Work on-call rotation, ensuring coverage after hours and on weekends and holidays.
- Perform other duties and activities as directed by VP of Engineering.

Qualifications:
- EMD, John Deere, Caterpillar and/or Cummins engine experience, preferred.
- Experience with Falk, Lufkin, and Reintjes gears a plus.
- Experience with HVAC and Electrical systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of Steerprop Z drive units a plus.
- TWIC Required.
- Excellent driving record required.
- Ability to travel. (Company vehicle provided.)
