Job Description:

Room Service Associate

Full Time, First Shift

Responsible for serving meals to patients in a professional and efficient manner.

Job Duties:

  • Complies with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure optimal food preferences are met within guidelines of diet order limitations.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of all therapeutic diets and the proper foods and condiments served with the particular diets.
  • Gives all patients an opportunity to order their meals including calling isolation patients for their selections.
  • Interacts with nursing to ensure patients’ diet prescriptions are accurate, and patients’ food needs are met.
  • Offers alternatives to menu as allowed on prescribed diet in accordance with food allergies and sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.

Preferred Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • One to three months’ experience
  • Food Handler card or Servsafe certificate preferred
