Job Description:
Charge Nurse
12 hour shift/ 6pm-6am
The Charge Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, organizing and supervising the unit activities for a specified shift
Essential Duties:
- Assesses unit census, patient status, and staffing numbers.
- Develops assignment of licensed/non-licensed that ensures adequate deliver of care
- Addresses patient and staff concerns during shift • Duties as assigned by Director
- Assists team members in giving care to patients, or administers direct care when professional nursing skills and judgment is needed and performs technical aspects of care competently
Requirements
- Three to five years job related experience
- Current RN licensure by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing
