Charters & Tours Coordinator Department: Executive Charters & Tours Salary Range: D.O.E. Reports to: Ex.Charters & Tours Manager Employment Status: Seasonal/Full-time FLSA Status: Non-Exempt POSITION SUMMARY The Executive Charters & Tours Coordinator is a customer-facing role responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while supporting the daily operations of the Executive Charters & Boat Tours department. This position combines administrative coordination, guest services, and hands-on marina operations to ensure seamless tour and charter experiences ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES Greet all visitors entering the Executive Charters & Boat Tours Office in a professional and welcoming manner. Provide accurate information regarding marina amenities, services, and offerings. Book, reserve, and confirm boat tour and charter reservations. Process transactions accurately and handle money, including cash and credit card payments. Open and close the Executive Charters & Boat Tours Office in accordance with company procedures. Assist with daily coordination of tour and charter schedules. Support captains and crew to ensure tours depart on time and meet company standards. Load and unload kayaks and stand-up paddleboards (SUPs) on and off boats. Assist captains with cleaning tour/charter vessels and restocking supplies after each trip. Drive boats uplake to retrieve kayaks, SUPs, and jet skis as needed. Transport guests using company carts in a safe and courteous manner. Possess the ability to react productively to other duties as reasonably assigned. QualificationsQUALIFICATION Valid State issued Driver's license and at least 18 years of age. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable handling money and point-of-sale systems. Must be reliable, professional, and safety-conscious. Ability to operate boats and marina equipment (training may be provided). Availability to work weekends, holidays, and seasonal peak hours. EDUCATION High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. EXPERIENCE Previous customer service experience of at 1-2 years is preferred. Boating or marina experience is a plus. Proven experience operating inland waters vessels or houseboats on lakes, rivers or similar waterways. Experience piloting vessels for customers or guests, including docking, mooring, and maneuvering in variable water conditions. Ability to learn marine navigation systems, communication equipment, and signaling methods. Familiarity with safety equipment inspections, emergency procedures, and onboard safety management. Ability to gain knowledge in handling vessels under varying weather, water, and traffic conditions. Ability to plan and follow safe routes up lake and back to the marina, including monitoring weather, water levels, and hazards. GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of APM marina services and amenities. Skills which allow for the tactful resolution of guest problems or concerns. Knowledge or ability to be trained in fire extinguisher operation. Knowledge or ability to be trained in ISO/EMS awareness. Knowledge or ability to be trained in employee orientation. Knowledge or ability to be trained in hazard communication. Knowledge or ability to be trained in hazardous materials response/respiratory protection. Knowledge or ability to be trained in emergency response. Knowledge or ability to be trained in recyclable materials. Knowledge or ability to be trained in blood borne pathogen awareness. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands of the position may include, but are not limited to sitting or standing for extended periods of time. ENGLISH PROFICIENCY It is important that the incumbent be able to communicate effectively in English including speaking, understanding, reading, and writing for the purpose of general interactions with staff, guests and customers.
