Position Summary:

This role supports daily shipping and receiving in a busy production environment, including scheduling freight, creating shipping paperwork, and tracking inventory in the system. The job includes both computer work and hands-on tasks like counting materials, loading and unloading trucks, and helping move products so production stays on schedule.
 
SHIFT: 6am - 2:30pm Monday through Friday + overtime as needed 
PAY: $20.56 (raised to $21.13 July 2026) & quarterly bonus
*paid bi-weekly
LOCATION: 7501 Page Ave St. Louis, MO
HIRE TYPE: Direct, Full-time, Union.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist supervisor in outlining daily shipping schedule and supervisor in the contacting of various truck lines for pickup of freight.
  • Assist loading outbound LTL shipments either through drayage or direct outbound truck lines by directing the fork truck to bring correct material.
  • Labeling and correctly counting all freight and providing written or electronic documentation necessary for meeting company and/or D.O.T. requirements.
  • Ships and receives counts and verifies all raw materials, inventory and non-inventory items, stickering and/or labeling, as required using appropriate shipping documentation devices.
  • Assists in reviewing inbound and outbound warehouse shipments by truck and rail are correctly counted and loaded.
  • File, record, and maintain inventory records through Oracle computer system.
  • Ensures shipping papers they are responsible for are correctly processed in the Shipping Department and prepares other written/electronic records as required by management (i.e. cGMP and ISO procedures).
  • Assists supervisor in preparing inventory records.
  • Receive materials, count and verify (cycle counting), apply inventory stickers.
  • Ship materials through A-release/Stock Tag systems count and verify.
  • Maintain inventory transactions through Prism computer system.
  • Load and unload trailers as needed.
  • Weigh raw materials for receiving.

Skills, Abilities, and Experience:

REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Ability to:
    • read and comprehend written instructions, safety warning labels, machine instruction manuals, and other forms.
    • wear personal protection equipment (PPE) as required.
    • quickly and accurately enter data into ERP system.
    • add, subtract, divide, multiply etc. and solve basic mathematic problems.
    • read, understand and organize a wide variety of forms.
  • Basic math, writing and data entry skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Good hand/eye coordination.

 

PREFERRED:

  • Experience working with hazardous materials.
  • Proficiency working in MS Office (Excel/Word/Teams/Outlook).
  • Previous experience working in an ERP/WMS system. Oracle is a plus!
  • Related shipping or administrative experience in a regulated manufacturing and/or production environment.
  • Training or certification to operate forklifts, preferably electric sit-down forklifts. 
  • Experience working in high volume, fast-paced, environments with strict deadlines and regulations. 
  • Exemplary organization and communication skills.

Pay rate for this opportunity is $20.56/hour. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
