Job DetailsJob Location: Chevy - Wheeling, IL 60090Salary Range: $19.00 - $21.00 Hourly Job Title: Line Cook Job Status: Part Time – Non-Exempt Department: Chevy Chase Country Club Primary Work Location: Chevy Chase Country Club Reports To: Executive Chef/Sous Chef Supervisory Responsibility: None Position Summary Serves as a line cook for Chevy Chase Country Club banquet/catering. Responsibilities include the preparation of food in accordance with the established recipes and industry standards at the CCCC food and beverage department. Essential Job Duties Prepares an extensive variety of cold and hot food items utilizing standardized recipes and portions foods as specified. Maintains the integrity of CCCC by watching plate presentations, and keeping all recipes confidential. Assists with set-up of kitchen before shift and tear down at end of shift. Washes and cleans all utensils, preparation equipment and counters required for production in the pantry area. Ensures that assigned work areas and equipment are maintained in a safe and sanitary condition at all times. Consistently complies with all state, local and agency laws/policies regarding the sale and disposition of alcoholic beverages. Assume other duties as assigned by supervisor. Performs the job safely and in compliance with Park District policies, procedures, work and safety rules. Performs other duties or special projects as assigned. QualificationsPosition Requirements Three to five years’ experience in a banquet, restaurant or catering facility. High School or trade school diploma desired, but not necessary. Ability to exercise good judgment and confidentiality. Capable of working extended hours, to include weekends and holidays as necessary. Skills and Abilities Demonstrate consistent attendance and on-time arrival. CPR/AED certification or be able to earn within 60 days. Working Conditions Most activities will be performed indoors. Driving to other park facilities will require the worker to be outside. Employee may be exposed to cleaning agents and toner chemicals.
