We are currently seeking an Electrician for 1st shift (9am to 5pm), who will be responsible for installing, maintaining, servicing, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic circuitry and related components associated with production and facility equipment.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain electrical and electronic equipment used in production and related operations to maximize equipment uptime and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and electronic malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or adjustments to maintain efficient production operations.
  • Assist with the installation, relocation, and setup of machinery and equipment, including electrical wiring, components, and electronic instrumentation.
  • Interpret and utilize electrical ladder diagrams, electronic circuitry schematics, and software programs to diagnose issues and improve equipment functionality.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, buildings, and facility grounds to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of parts and supplies; compile and submit parts lists required for equipment repairs and rebuilds to ensure timely ordering.
  • Accurately complete and maintain required documentation, records, and maintenance reports.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and work from blueprints, schematics, circuit diagrams and use precision measuring devices.
  • Must have a good knowledge of electrical/electronic theory, the national electrical code, the local electrical code and electrical safety practices.
  • Strong knowledge in the electronic diagnostics of PLC's, AC/DC drive systems and various types of computer operated control circuitry (Siemens and Allen Bradley).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Electronics or related field, a State Electrical license, or a minimum of 5 years of electrical / electronic repair experience in a print manufacturing environment is preferred 
  • Experience with sheetfed printing presses (Komori), Pro-stream web and digital HP Presses, or similar equipment is preferred.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Ability to walk or stand for the entire assigned shift.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Exposure to hot, humid, and/or dusty environments.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, and standing.
