Job DetailsJob Location: WL - WHEELING, IL 60090Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $20.00 - $23.50 HourlyJob Shift: 1st ShiftInventory Coordinator Job Classification:             Hourly  Reports to:                          Inventory Supervisor                                                 The Inventory Clerk plays a key role in delivering business results and driving operational improvements. Oversee daily production needs as far as materials in order to achieve productivity, efficiency, customer service, and quality objectives through both individual and team contributions. Promotes safe work practices, develops and maintains an effective organization with qualified personnel.   Essential Functions:   Manages daily, weekly cycle count and annual inventory count reconciliation process Monitor and track inventory movement of raw, packaging, rework, and finished goods Coordinates material flow processes that allow for the delivery of the right material to the right place at the right time Reconciling receiving/put away variances, reporting overage/shortage and inventory issues Executes put-away procedures for leftover raw/pack material from production runs, aligning with FIFO/FEFO rotation practices   Maintains staging locations for each material, by line, for both inbound and put away   Ensure materials are moved transactionally in Just Foods per all disposal actions Coordinate disposal of aged materials and works with Inventory Supervisor on cross charge of material disposals Maintains inventory accuracy, carry out the necessary inventory transactions on the Just Food system. Orders inventory items from 3PL warehouse and ensures all inventory items are in plant to run production Analyze inventory on hand to keep at company set guidelines within our inventory grading process guidelines Prepare, maintain and distribute reports related to inventory. Ensure proper administration of all cycle count procedures and processes; research outstanding issues related to inventory reconciliation; reconcile any inventory discrepancies. Coordinates the expedited materials with Shipping and Receiving Setup inbound transfer from our outside warehouses Perform yearly and periodical audits of inventory for accuracy and obsolete product Execute procedures for the proper configuration, palletizing, wrapping, labeling, and loading of all finished goods to allow for proper transfer to Distribution Center(s) Executes the plant safety program by being a champion for safety and treating it as a priority Basic Qualifications Minimum of three years of experience in warehousing, material handling or materials management in a manufacturing environment. In depth knowledge of material handling processes, SOP’s and related tools including ERP (Just Foods). Forklift certification required.   Desired Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry. Previous experience in food manufacturing environment is a plus. Data entry experience preferred Bilingual English/Spanish Competencies:   Must be able to work independently. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly and 75 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to pass forklift exam and be able to properly operate a forklift and related equipment. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to trouble shoot, analyze, and solve problems in a short period of time. Must be able to communicate in a clear and consistent manner. The ability to make decisions based on limited information. Teamwork Orientation – ability to teach and train, with a high energy level and diligent work ethic. Must exhibit Ethical Conduct. Ability to provide clear direction and instruction in a matrix environment. Must be detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy. Ability to work in a variety of climates and conditions; factory/warehouse facilities cold in the winter; in freezers and coolers year round.   Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and power industrial trucks. The employee is frequently exposed to cold, wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.   Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for the duration of the production shift; talk or hear; use hands or finger to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk frequently. The employee is infrequently required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation for this role is between $20.00 to $23.00. This role is also eligible for an overtime compensation.
