Summary
The Cultivation Lead will primarily be responsible for guiding the team in all tasks performed throughout the department and facility. The team is expected to work in a timely manner and strive to increase productivity. The position reports directly to Grow management.

- Directly responsible for leading cultivation employees in the completion of all daily and weekly tasks performed in the cultivation department
- Ability to teach people the hows and whys of all crop-related tasks
- Ensuring the grow rooms are properly maintained and in order. Notifying the Manager of any needs or concerns in a timely manner
- Keep inventory of consumables (scissors, trellis, zip ties) and report needs to the manager in a timely fashion
- Assist in ensuring that workflow and work procedures are documented, and that appropriate controls and audits are in place to ensure data and processing integrity
- Must be able to lead employees as a team, as well as independently
- Must be able to follow basic instructions and provide results
- Must be able to take constructive criticism from managers to maintain quality standards and production goals. Must show up on time for work every day, ready to work, and maintain a standard of personal hygiene for processing marijuana flowers.
- Able to focus on multiple tasks and complete them on time
- Must pay close attention to detail to spot deficiencies throughout the department and collaborate on solutions to the issue
- Follow all procedures provided and communicate production completed daily to the manager
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
QualificationsÂ
- Must possess basic knowledge of cannabis, industry products, strain classifications, genetics, and compliance
- Genuine enthusiasm and love for cannabis and the cannabis industry
- Dependable, reliable, energetic
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Possess a strong understanding of plant nutrients and their deficiencies
- Experience growing cannabis in different environments with various techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment
- Strong understanding of common grow room equipment, including electrical systems, lights/light bulbs, timers, irrigation systems, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and plumbing
- Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
- Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, and visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
- Job/Task dependent, Argus/Canix/Odoo, any future software implementation
- Must have a valid Driver’s LicenseÂ
Working Conditions
- Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, and pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs and be able to stand, sit, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach.
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
