Summary
The Extraction Technician Lead / EFR Technician Lead is responsible for the extraction of cannabis material using Ethanol in a closed-loop system referred to as the EFR skid. This position is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness, efficacy, and efficiency of the manufacturing processes. The Extraction Technician Lead /EFR Technician Lead will strictly follow the company’s standard operating procedures, training, state regulations, and quality control measures to maintain production of high-quality extractions.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Properly handle pre-extraction plant matter
- Perform extractions following standard operating procedures and training.
- Provide systematic cleaning and sanitization of the extraction equipment
- Report to the Manager of Manufacturing any issues or problems
- Report to the Manager of Manufacturing on inventory usage and the needs of EFR extraction processes
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High level of integrity and a strong work ethic
- Strong interpersonal skills; team player
- Must be 21+, with a valid State ID, with no felonies, and able to pass additional background screening
- Ability to learn quickly and follow detailed instructions
- Ability to work comfortably and effectively within a diverse, multicultural, multigenerational environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
- Required: High School Diploma. Bachelor of Science (Preferred), and/or 2 years of experience in the cannabis industry
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES AND/OR TRAINING:
- Knowledge of state medical marijuana regulations
- Ability to work as part of a team to achieve company goals
- Ability to work extended hours when necessary to complete extraction processes
- Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/ projects
- Ability to work within strict time frames and resolute deadlines
- Must successfully complete training to run the EFR skid
- Attendance is key in order to perform job responsibilities and is weighed heavily for this job
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and duties of this job.
- Stand for long periods of time
- Work at a fast pace while maintaining safety guidelines dictated in the SOP and training
- Walking, standing, and crouching
- Twist the upper torso
- Ability to lift 20 to 80 pounds and carry a distance of one hundred feet
- Reach up and out with hands and arms
- Use hands to handle, and/or feel; the ability to type, pick, pinch with fingers, seize, hold, grasp or turn with hands and perceive attributes of objects and materials such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with fingertips or whole hands
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Long periods of sitting and/or standing, a noisy work environment, and warehouse temperature
affected by outside conditions
