POSITION SUMMARY


The Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver willĀ provide for the transportation of patients to and from medical centers, private residences. Furthermore, you will ensure that all passengers reach their destinations safely and in a timely fashion. That means ensuring that everyone is safely strapped in his or her seatbelt and/or wheelchair restraints to have an enjoyable, comfortable ride.Ā Ā 


Ā The Courier is responsible for the routine maintenance of AH building and grounds and for courier service between, among, and for the Centers

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES-NEMT DriverĀ 

  1. Transporting clients utilizing company vehicle in a professional mannerĀ 
  2. Operating vehicle in a safe manner to include parking the vehicle and pulling into/out of temporary loading/unloading areasĀ 
  • Ā Assisting clients in getting onto the vehicle and safely inside of their respective destination
  • Utilizing smart mobile technology to interact with dispatching staff to obtain client trip schedules, report the time of passenger pickups and drop offs, as well as any changes to schedule or traffic delays. Notifying the client, if necessary, of late arrivals
  • Reporting any incidents or accidents to the supervisor
  • Maintaining a professional image and attitude with clients, visitors, and co-workers
  • Operating wheelchair lifts and securing wheelchairs and stretchers in the vehicle
  • Completing daily vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintain vehicle cleanliness
  • Adhering to company policies and standard operating procedures

3.All other duties as assignedĀ

  • Performs local errands to and from medical facilities, post office, bank and merchants using the company trucks.
  • Performs maintenance of buildings and grounds as assigned.
  • Maintains equipment, machinery, and van.
  • Checks in/receives supplies.

EDUCATIONĀ 

  • High School Diploma or GEDĀ 

Ā CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES

  • Current Florida driver’s license.
  • Clean driving record

Ā EXPERIENCE

  • No experience necessary. We will provide on the job training.
