PARKS LABORER

Position Summary Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Mows grass; 
• edges sidewalks and curbs; 
• cuts grass and weeds; 
• digs, hoes, and shovels dirt, sand, clay, and other materials; and other areas; 
• pulls weeds; digs up plants, shrubs, and trees and replants in other locations; 
• lays sod; loads and unloads trucks; trims hedges; 
• spreads fertilizer; 
• replaces or installs streets signs, digs holes; 
• mixes cement, sets signs; cleans ditches and culverts; 
• uses a variety of hand and power tools; 
• performs related work as required.
• ability to move at least 50 lbs

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education and/or Experience:

•  valid Class “E” Florida Driver’s License
• High school diploma or equivalent 

Environment & Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, sometimes during adverse weather conditions; ability to understand and follow oral instructions;
