Nightwing is seeking a talented and highly skilled Space Engineer to join its dynamic team in Palm Bay, FL. The Space Engineer will specialize in vulnerability assessment and threat analysis of ground-to-space communication systems software. The ideal candidate will leverage their space and software expertise to identify and analyze security vulnerabilities in satellite command and control links, telemetry systems, and ground station infrastructure.Â

Key Responsibilities includeÂ
Vulnerability assessment of ground-to-space communication architectures
Identify and assess emerging technology in space communication
Identify and assess emerging threats to space communicationÂ
Serve as the primary technical liaison for DoD, Intelligence Community, and commercial space customersÂ
Required SkillsÂ
Active TS/SCI clearanceÂ
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related fieldÂ
10+ years of experience in satellite communications, RF security, or space systemsÂ
Solid understanding of software development and knowledge in any of the following: C, C++, or PythonÂ
Experience with program analysis, reverse engineering, and debugging tools (e.g., angr, BAP, IDA Pro, Binary Ninja, gdb, Ghidra, windbg)Â
Knowledge of Assembly (x86/x64)Â
Strong understanding of satellite communication vulnerabilities and attack vectorsÂ
Knowledge of cryptographic protocols and secure communication standardsÂ
Familiarity with ground station architecture and satellite control systemsÂ
Understanding of electronic warfare principles and countermeasuresÂ
Demonstrated experience in customer-facing roles with government or military clientsÂ
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to present to senior leadershipÂ
Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships in sensitive environmentsÂ
Ability to translate technical concepts for audiences with varying technical backgroundsÂ
Willingness to travel to customer sitesÂ
