JANITOR

bout the Role:

The Janitor position within the manufacturing industry is essential for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment that supports efficient production operations. This role involves comprehensive janitorial duties including cleaning commercial buildings, managing waste disposal, and ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards. The janitor will also be responsible for maintaining outdoor spaces through landscaping and lawn care, contributing to the overall appearance and safety of the facility. Ultimately, the janitor ensures that the facility operates smoothly by providing a hygienic and well-maintained environment that supports employee productivity and safety.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years proven experience in janitorial duties within a commercial or industrial setting.
• Conversational proficiency in English
• HS of GED graduate 
• Experience handling various cleaning related tools and equipment
• Demonstrated experience interacting effectively with a variety of people
• Ability to safely lift and carry heavy objects regularly.
• Knowledge of safety procedures relevant to janitorial work
• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot minor maintenance issues independently.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing floors, walls, and surfaces within the manufacturing facility
• Establish and maintain a "Deep Clean" schedule calendar 
• Light maintenance of the outside grounds
• Recognize and act upon cleaning needs as applicable 
• Adheres to firearms safety requirements 
• Maintain and clean stainless-steel equipment and surfaces to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Safely lift and carry heavy materials and supplies as needed, following established safety procedures to prevent injury.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a hazard-free work environment for all employees.
