POSITION SUMMARY

The Surgical Technician Specialist will be responsible for the daily involvement of all musculoskeletal surgical cases and will also follow up post-op related functions and participate in all patient care conferences as they relate to surgical cases. Identify physician needs are met, equipment/supply needs, etc. or to answer calls for materials and supplies as needed. OR supplies/instrumentation needs and schedule review.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

HS /GED education. College Preferred. Graduate of approved ST school or above

Experience:

Previous OR experience with a minimum of 2 years in a Specialty

Certification

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Tech in Surgery - Certified (TS-C) through National Center of Competency Testing (NCCT). American Heart Association BLS.
