Position Overview:Â
The Server Assistant (Busser) plays a critical support role in ensuring smooth, efficient, and luxury-level dining service. This position is responsible for maintaining clean, organized tables and service areas, assisting servers, and contributing to a seamless guest experience. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality, strong teamwork skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Â
Key Responsibilities:Â
Guest Interaction:Â
- Assist servers in delivering prompt, courteous, and professional service to guests.Â
- Respond politely to guest requests and support a welcoming, luxury dining environment.Â
- Ensure tables are reset promptly for new guests and maintain a polished dining room appearance.Â
Table & Dining Area Maintenance:Â
- Clear tables efficiently and reset for subsequent guests.Â
- Remove used dishes, glassware, and utensils promptly while minimizing disruption.Â
- Assist in setting tables according to restaurant standards, including linens, silverware, and glassware.Â
Collaboration & Support:Â
- Work closely with servers, kitchen, and bar staff to ensure smooth, coordinated service.Â
- Assist with side-work and other tasks assigned by Captains or Lead Servers.Â
- Help maintain overall cleanliness and organization of dining areas.Â
Compliance & Safety:Â
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper handling of dishes, trays, and cleaning chemicals.Â
- Report unsafe conditions, spills, or maintenance issues to management promptly.Â
Qualifications:Â
- Prior experience in luxury dining, fine dining, or high-volume food service preferred.Â
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.Â
- Ability to multitask efficiently and remain composed in fast-paced environments.Â
- Must be available full-time, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.Â
Physical Requirements:Â
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the dining area for extended periods.Â
- Lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 50 lbs (e.g., trays, dish racks).Â
- Bend, stoop, kneel, and perform repetitive hand motions efficiently.Â
- Navigate narrow, elevated, or tight spaces safely.Â
- Work on uneven or slippery surfaces and stairs frequently.Â
