CNC Lathe Operator

Tufftek is looking for a CNC Lathe Operator with experience running and setting up CNC turning equipment. This position will primarily involve operating a Haas ST-20Y lathe, producing accurate parts, checking tolerances, and keeping work moving efficiently through the shop.

We’re looking for someone dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable around CNC machines. Experience with live tooling, Y-axis work, setup, offsets, and reading technical drawings is a strong plus.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate a Haas ST-20Y CNC lathe
- Read and follow drawings, job specs, and work instructions
- Load material, run parts, and monitor machine operation
- Check parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
- Make basic offset and tooling adjustments
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow shop safety procedures
- Communicate issues with tooling, material, programs, or machine performance

Qualifications:
- CNC lathe experience preferred
- Haas control experience is a plus
- Experience with Y-axis/live tooling is a plus
- Ability to read drawings and use precision measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable attendance and good work ethic
- Ability to work independently once trained
- Willingness to learn and follow established shop processes
