Job DetailsJob Location: Palm City, FL 34990PAC / LifePort believes that each employee makes a significant contribution to our success. Position Overview:   The CNC Programmer will program Aerospace components and fixturing using FeatureCam, CAD models, and drawings. The Programmer is responsible for creation and revision of CNC programs for various multi-axis, horizontal and vertical mills, lathes, routers, and other equipment. The Programmer supports current production and prototype projects while maintaining quality and safety standards. The CNC Programmer will work with operations, quality and procurement to develop the most efficient manufacturing process possible.   Essential Functions:   Program 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers and waterjets) with Mastercam.   Analyze work orders, drawings, specifications, and design data to determine order of operations, fixture design, tool selections, machine speeds and feed rates  Assemble quotations including required materials, tooling, fixtures, set-up time, and run time of new parts and assemblies based on provided engineering data  Create detailed setup sheets in specified format for a machine’s operator to guide setup  Work with operators to revise programs to eliminate errors and re-test programs to check that problems have been solved  Work with operators to revise programs to optimize efficiency  Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations  Follow established processes and quality and safety standards  Must be able to read and interpret prints, DPD, and GD&T  Participate in LEAN manufacturing activities  Maintain knowledge of current industry trends, processes and tool information  Read and Write G-Code Generate work orders as required to meet schedule QualificationsJob Specifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):   Technical Skills – pursues training and development opportunities; strives to continuously build knowledge and skills and shares that expertise with others  Customer Service – responds promptly to customer needs and meets commitments   Organizational Support – Follows policies and procedures and supports the organization’s goals and values  Motivation – demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles   Quality – Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, while finding ways to improve and promote quality  Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail  Excellent teamwork skills and high degree of initiative required  Excellent communication both written and verbal  Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative  Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting required  Education, Certifications and Experience:  High school diploma or GED and 5+ years related experience and /or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience  5-7 years of experience programming 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers and waterjets) with FeatureCam is required  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry  Proficient with FeatureCam, Outlook, ERP Manufacturing software, shop floor manager, and time and attendance payroll systems  Physical Demands and Work Environment: Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment.
